On behalf of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) I have the great honour and pleasure to welcome you, lifters, coaches, officials and spectators from all over the world, to the 26th Men`s and 16th Women`s World Masters Powerlifting Championships in Palm Springs / USA.

I believe Palm Springs is the proper place for such World Championships. The Convention Center architecture looks nice and you can see in the background the mountains. The Center provides the event with all amenities and services.

We expect many participants at these World Championships, because the Masters lifters are a very active and big part within the IPF. Personally I like the familiar atmosphere among the Masters lifters and the championships are not only the place to fight for the medals, they are also a possibility to meet friends and make friends.

Many thanks to the Meet Director Lance Slaughter, his team and the U.S.A. Powerlifting (USAPL) that they host these World Championships in Palm Springs in California.

I wish you all the very best for a successful and unforgettable competition. And take the opportunity to spend some nice days in this beautiful area.
