Nomination & Visa Support Form Visa Information The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. VWP eligible travelers may apply for a visa, if they prefer to do so. Not all countries participate in the VWP, and not all travelers from VWP countries are eligible to use the program. VWP travelers are screened prior to admission into the United States, and they are enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security’s US-VISIT program. Currently, 27 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program, as shown below:
International travelers, who are nationals of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries, seeking to travel to the United States without a visa, should review this important information on passport requirements for travelers under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). If a traveler cannot meet all of the requirements, he/she must obtain a visa for entry to the United States, and cannot travel without a visa on VWP. It is recommended that travelers from countries that do not participate in the VWP or if a traveler cannot meet all of the requirements contact the U.S. embassy in their country no later than 60 days before the championship to apply for a visa. You also must send the Visa Support Form to the Organizing Committee Technical Secretary as soon as possible and no later than 60 days before the championship. You must name one person in your group (giving the telephone number, the fax number and the email address of this person) who will be at the disposal for further inquiries to the representations abroad. In principle, a visa-requiring participant needs an official invitation letter or accreditation letter of the Organizing Committee, which they must submit during filling the application in the original with the visa request for the documentation of their travel purpose. An appropriate travel health insurance should be secured by the participant. |
