Welcome to the official website for the 2008 IPF Masters World Powerlifting Lance Slaughter

Championships. We are honored that the International Powerlifting Federation has selected USA Powerlifting and the city of Palm Springs to host this world championship which will be held on September 30 through October 4, 2008.

We look forward to hosting athletes, coaches, officials, and guests from all over the world. The Palm Springs Convention Center shall provide a world-class setting as the championships venue and we are pleased to partner with the Hilton Palm Springs as our official host hotel. more

On behalf of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) I have the great honour and pleasure to welcome you, lifters, coaches, officials and spectators from all over theworld, to the 26th Men`s and 16th Women`s World Masters Powerlifting Championships in Palm Springs / USA.

I believe Palm Springs is the proper place for such World Championships. The Convention Center architecture looks nice and you can see in the background the mountains. The Center provides the event with all amenities and services. more

World Powerlifting Championships. This year’s competition will be held at the wonderful Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California. The venue is fantastic, with large, open galleries and spacious areas for warming up and vendors and spectators. The competition hotel, the Hilton Palm Springs is situated close to the venue and is one of the nicest hotels in the area. There are a number of fine restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The airport is a short drive (approximately 1.5 miles) from the venue and hotels. more
